The last night of the Semifinals always takes place at the Luther Burbank Center, and it’s always an amazing experience. There are 1,600 seats, more than all the seats of all the Semifinal shows combined, and it always sells out.

Rrrely do we get multiple headshots with different haircusts, but we rarely get a comic like Connor Lonsdale.
The Semifinals are possibly my favorite round because you get to see the Top Five comics from each week of the Preliminaries perform with 10 minutes instead of five. Those with a strong five start to fade. Those with a strong hour begin to shine.
The Semifinals of the 49th San Francisco Comedy Competition kicks off Tuesday, September 9th at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga. The Top Ten comedians compete for just five chances to advance to the Finals.
