The Top Five comedians in the 44th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition have been determined–lead by a Canadian making his second appearance in the Finals, a Modesto comedian who narrowly missed making the Finals in his previous time in the competition, a San Francisco comic in his first year competing…and, for the first time since 1992, the Finals of the San Francisco Comedy Competition will include two women.
Going into the last night of the Semi-Finals of the 44tj Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition, nine of the ten performers still had a mathematical chance of advancing to the Finals–the talent level was incredibly strong and the scores were very close.
The five to earn the right to advance–the five Finalists of the 44th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition–are:

- ANTHONY K (Modesto, CA)
- CLAY NEWMAN (San Francisco, CA)
- PAULINE YASUDA (Los Angeles, CA)
- GINA STAHL-HAVEN (Novato, CA)
These five comedians now have five shows in the Finals Week to determine who will be this year’s San Francisco Comedy Competition Champion.
The Finals Week of the 44th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition begins with a PRIVATE EVENT at the Fireside Theater at Rossmoor in Walnut Creek.
