The 4 Star Theater: San Francisco

The Finals of the 49th San Francisco Comedy Competition will visit the 4 Star Theater. This show features the Top Five comedians of the comedy competition. Each will have up to 20 minutes to perform and convince the judges and the audience that they are worthy of first place. The audience holds tremendous power over the outcome of the show; the harder you laugh, the higher they score through the encore point.

Your Host: Dan Lewis

Dan Lewis is a stand-up comedian based in Brooklyn, NY, though he originally hails from Detroit, MI. Despite years on the West Coast, he still clings to his Midwestern sensibilities, which make him feel out of place at artisanal pickle tastings and rooftop ketamine parties. 
Winner of the 2022 East Bay Comedy Competition, Dan is a regular at San Francisco Punch Line, Cobb’s Comedy Club, San Jose Improv, and Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club. He can otherwise be found performing at local theaters, bars, bowling alleys, and the occasional Russian bathhouse.

The San Francisco Comedy Competition is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of notable comedians such as Patton Oswalt, Robin Williams, and Ellen DeGeneres. It’s an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete, but only 32 are chosen.
