Widely regarded as one of the funniest comedians in the Pacific Northwest, Phillip Kopczynski makes his debut performance at the Marin Showcase Theater.
Born and raised in the mountains of eastern Washington, Phillip Kopczynski started comedy at age 11 doing pratfalls to make his Down Syndrome sister laugh.
Always pulling from life experiences and poorly thought out opinions, Phillip’s animated storytelling pulls in audiences for an eccentric good time. He has been seen from Vancouver, BC to Orlando, FL. In 2018 he placed second at Seattle International Comedy Competition. His 2019 his Drybar Special– Full Grown Man — has been viewed over a million times, and his 2021 Comedy Dynamics special–Live at the Spokane Comedy Club–has been seen by 100’s of prisoners.
Venerable local comedy promoters Fox Family Productions are best known for their annual rendition of the legendary San Francisco Stand-up Comedy Competition now in its 49th year of presenting outstanding rising talent. That 20-show extravaganza occurs each fall. In their offseason, The Foxes continue to search for outstanding acts beyond their Comedy Competition. Phillip Kopczynski is a comedian the Foxes believe Marin just has to see. “Phillip is incredibly funny with amazing energy. He’s all over the stage with a point of view Marin comedy fans will love,” advises producer Jon Fox, “We’re very proud to be bringing Phillip before a California audience.” Additional acts will be announced.
