Second Opening Night at the Battery
The second round of Preliminaries kicked off at the Battery in San Francisco. It was a show full of uncertainties, like who was printing up fake tickets (I’m serious!), would they be able to sneak into a private club and most important, would they laugh?
Thankfully the Parlor was packed with enthusiastic audience who paid their membership and came to laugh. The show was strong from the first comic to the last. Audience members kept streaming in all night. I was actually wondering how they all fit. I ended up being bumped to the VIP hallway (at least thats what I called it) with comfortable chairs and allowed me to listen to the show, before I was kicked out by too many audience members. This travesty can stand because honestly, who doesn’t want an over-filled room of people laughing during a comedy show?
Just like last week, we had a tie for first place.
The Top Five

Line of the night:
“I feel like there’s some billionaire here tonight who hunts people.”
The member I was sitting next to said to nobody, “He’s not here tonight.” 😆 😳
This is the Top Five, but this show, much like Round One is very deep and it will be a fun week to watch as it unfolds between now and Sunday.
