The Final Show in Marin
After 20 shows since August, the 48th San Francisco Comedy Competition finds itself at the very last show. They say all good things must come to an end, but did it have to include this show?
The Finalists made is all the way from Arroyo Grande to an unexpected crowd more than double the size expected.
The Final show was supposed to be staged in the Showcase Theatre next door. There was one problem, The Showcase was replacing the seats at the exact same time we needed to use the venue. We had no place to stage the show until someone mentioned maybe we could do a show in the Exhibit Hall. It’s big, maybe too big we thought, after all the Showcase Theatre holds 300 people. would we be able to fill it? We filled it with 700 sold tickets. There is a demand to see comedy and we met the challenge!
