How to Enter the 31st Annual San Francisco
International Stand-Up Comedy Competition

Thanks for your interest in our event. What we need to see is a 20-minute or longer performance tape or dvd. We need either two recommendations that you deserve to be accepted into the Competition from established talent bookers or past finalists or a check for $25 made payable to Comedy Scene (unless either Anne or Jon have specifically asked you to send in your stuff).

We will be updating our web site, www.sanfranciscocomedycompetition.com, as more of this year’s schedule in finalized. The 2006 event will occur from 9/12- 10/8. If accepted into the event, you would choose between preliminary round one 9/12-17 or preliminary round two 9/19-23. If you placed in the top five in your preliminary round, you would advance to the semi-final round 9/26-10/1. If you placed in the top five in the semi-finals, you would advance to the final round 10/4-8.

There will be $30,000 in cash prizes with $10,000 going to the winner. All semi-finalists will receive cash prizes, the least amount being $750 for tenth place. Please send your tape to:
